Eligibility:
MPhil/ PhD 

• Candidates securing 55% marks or above or equivalent grade in Master Degree Examination of a recognized University are only eligible to apply for admission to One semester Integrated Pre Ph.D.
• Candidates with M.Phil Degree from any recognized University with explicit proof of qualifying in the course work of minimum one semester duration can also apply for provisional registration to Ph. D. programme directly without prosecuting fresh course work if selected in the Admission Test (Personal Interview Only). However, such candidate must have passed at least one paper on Research Methodology and obtained at least 55 marks in each paper separately or B grade in aggregate.

D.Litt./ D.Sc.

• Ph.D. or an equivalent degree from Assam University or from any other recognized Indian University or a foreign university in the concerned discipline and must be a serving or retired teacher in the University system.
• He/She must have served a teacher for a minimum period of 5 years and have at least 5 years of research experience after Ph.D.

Selection proces: On the basis of written test followed by interview. It will be held on January 10, 2012.
