All India Pre- Veterinary Test (AIPVT)-2012

Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (52 of 1984) was enacted in 1984 and was published in the Extraordinary Gazette of India dated 21st August, 1984 to regulate veterinary practice and to provide for that purpose, for the establishment of Veterinary Council of India and State Veterinary Councils and the maintenance of Registers of veterinary practitioners and for matters connected therewith.

Entrance exam: All India Pre- Veterinary Test (AIPVT)-2012

Conducted by: Veterinary Council of India

Programme: B.V.Sc. & A.H. Course

Duration: The duration of B.V.Sc.& A.H. degree course is spread over five complete academic years including a compulsory rotating internship of six months.

Eligibility: He/She has passed:-

• The Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years of study the last two years of study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Education Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 (years) educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.

                    OR

• The Intermediate Science examination in science from a recognized University/Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (which shall include a practical test in these subjects) and English.

How to apply: The application form can be obtained from the office of the Registrar of state Veterinary Council or selected branches of Vijaya Bank hgy paying Rs. 1200/-(Rs. 600/- for SC/ST) in cash.
