Fellowships: Jawahar Lal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research

Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) is a multidisciplinary research institute situated in Bangalore. The Centre is funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and is a deemed university.

Programmes:

• Project Oriented Chemical Education (POCE)
• Project Oriented Biology Education (POBE)

Fellowships: 10 each in POCE and POBE
 

Scholarship: Rs 6000/- per month
 

Eligibility:

• POCE: Students studying in first year of three years B.Sc program (preferably with PCM combination).
• POBE: Students who are studying in first year of three years B.Sc program (preferably having Biology as one of the subjects)

Course module:

• Both the programmes will be conducted during summer vacation for a period of 6 to 8 weeks. Selected students are expected to work at the Centre for three such consecutive summers. Specialization will be possible during the last year in POCE and second and third year in POBE.
• After the successful completion of the programme at the end of 3 years, the students will receive a Diploma in Chemistry/Biology from the respective Centre.

Added benefit: Those who complete the POBE/POCE programme with outstanding performance will be eligible for admission to the MS/PhD programme of their respective Centre subject to satisfactory performance in the interview.
