The National Law University, Delhi established in 2008 by Act 1 of 2008 is premier Law University established in the capital city of India. The Vision of the University is to make legal education an instrument of social, political and economic change.

National Law University, Delhi invites applications for various courses commencing from April 9, 2012.

Programme: Five year BA LLB (Hons), LLM and PhD

Eligibility:

• For BA LLB: Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or equivalent Examination with not less than 50% of marks in the aggregate (those who are appearing in the examination in March/April, 2012 can also apply)
• Age: Below 21 years as on July 1, 2012 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates).
• Total Seats: 80 [70 seats on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and 10 seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit]. Foreign Nationals to be eligible should have 65% marks in the qualifying examination.
• Reservation: 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and 3% for Persons with Disabilities.
• Note: One additional seat for Kashmiri Migrants after approval from Governing Council of the University. The candidates have to apply, appear in the Entrance Test and fulfill the eligibility criteria as applicable.

• For LLM: LLB or an equicvalent degree with 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST / persons with disability). The candidates appearing in final LLB examination in April /May 2012 can also apply
• Total Seats: 20 + 5 seats for Foreign Nationals. Foreign Nationals are exempted from Entrance Test.
• Reservation: 15% for SC Candidates, 7.5% for ST Candidates, 3% for Persons with Disabilities.

• For PhD: LLM degree with 55 % marks or equivalent

Selection Procedure: Admission to all programmes will be through AILET to be conducted at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Patna

How to apply: Interested candidates may apply along with a Demand Draft of Rs.2,500/- (Rupees two thousand five hundred only) for General Candidates, Rs.1,000/- (Rupees one thousand only) in case of SC,ST and Person with Disability (PD) drawn in favour of “REGISTRAR, NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI", payable at Delhi alongwith copies of requisite Caste/PD Certificate. There is no application fee for Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants of SC/ ST category (copy of BPL certificate from competent authority to be enclosed with application).
