Duration: 26 weeks
Seats: 60 (25% seats reserved for candidates sponsored from Power Utilities and reputed companies of Indian Power Sector having more than one year experience.)
Eligibility: For Non-sponsored candidates, Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with minimum 60% marks in various examinations from 10th onwards. For Sponsored candidates, the qualification would be same but should have minimum one year experience in the relevant field.
Age limit: Maximum 27 years for non-sponsored candidates as on April 9, 2012. No age limit for sponsored candidates.
Selection criteria: A Common Entrance Test (CET) would be conducted for all the eligible candidates at five centres - New Delhi, Nagpur, Kolkata, Bangalore & Ranchi. The students should indicate two centres in the application form in the order of their preference for undertaking the test. However, any of the test centres may be cancelled as per the decision of CBIP.
The students will be shortlisted based on the merit of the CET and will be called for counseling/interview. Admission shall be subject to verification of all the original testimonials/documents.
