Eligibility for B.Tech programmes:

• Pass in 10+2 / 12th examination from a recognized Central / State Board or its equivalent either in 2012 or 2011 subject to securing the following percentage of marks in specified subjects.
   
• B.Tech (except Biotechnology) Programmes : A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and 1st Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination in single attempt.
   
• B.Tech in Biotechnology: A minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry or Biology, Physics & Chemistry and 1st Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination in single attempt.
   
• Rank obtained in GAT (UGT) 2012.

Note:

1. Candidates who are appearing for 10+2/12th examination in 2012 or who passed 10+2/12th examination in 2011 only are eligible. Students who passed 10+2/12th examination in 2010 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear for GAT (UGT) 2012.
    
2. Candidates seeking admission to BArch program should qualify NATA exam.
    
3. Candidates appearing for GAT (UGT) 2012 (Test Code No.99) are also eligible for admission to B.Pharmacy, Bachelor of Business Management (BBM), Bachelor of Environmental Management (BEM) and 5 Year Integrated (BSc + MSc) Biotechnology programs.

Applications are available throughout India in various branches of Union Bank of India and Indian Bank.

Applications can also be obtained by post from Director-Admissions by sending a request on plain paper giving the candidate’s name with complete mailing address accompanied by DD for Rs. 1100 (Rs. 700 for female candidates) drawn in favour of GITAM University payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank.

Draw a DD for Rs. 1000 (Rs. 600 for female candidates) in favor of GITAM UNIVERSITY, payable at Visakhapatnam on any scheduled bank and send it to the Director in address mentioned below.
