G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology is the first agricultural university of India. It was inaugurated by Jawaharlal Nehru on 17 November 1960 as the Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University (UPAU). Later the name was changed to Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in 1972 in memory of the great freedom fighter Govind Ballabh Pant.

Scholarship description: Award of one Post Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Biological Sciences on consolidated fellowship of Rs. 22,000/- per month under Indo-Swiss Collaboration in Biotechnology “Short- and mid-term effects of bio-fertilizers on wheat yield and quality in different environments”.

Eligibility:

• Ph.D. in Microbiology/ Life Science (Essential)
• Trained in bacterial, fungal diversity and laying out field experiments (Desirable)
